Architectural Woodcarving

I have adapted a method of layering multiple carvings to achieve a depth, movement, and realism that cannot be achieved by traditional relief carving in a single, solid piece of wood. The mahogany Bird Mantel, the Basswood Pilaster, four Basswood Capitals, and the Basswood Scroll Key are examples of my layering technique.
